The three rules the form does not explain
- The income is checked in dollars on the day you apply. If you earn in euros or pounds and sit within about 10% of the line, a bad month for your currency can put you under. Apply when the rate is in your favour, or show the annual figure instead, which is the same threshold spread over twelve months.
- Age is 21 to 55 inclusive. Turning 56 before you apply ends eligibility; there is no grandfathering.
- Nationality is a fixed list of 37 countries. Residence in one of them does not count. If you hold two passports, apply on the eligible one.
