Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş Tickets as a Tourist: Passolig 2026

Official rules Updated · Last checked · reviewed by Nomad Istanbul editorial team

You need a Passo Taraftar card: free for foreigners with a passport, plus a 250–1,200 TL club fee. How to buy on Passo, and why derbies sell out.

Short version: every ticket in Turkey is tied to a named fan card. Passolig has been replaced by the Passo Taraftar card. As a foreigner you apply online with your passport for the free prepaid card, pay the club’s annual e-ticket fee (250 to 1,200 TL), top it up and buy on Passo 3 to 5 days before the match. Then you enter with the QR code in the Passo app. Ordinary league games are doable on your own. Derbies and big European nights rarely reach the public sale, and that is when a local host who handles the card and ticket is worth paying for.

Rules below are from the Passo Taraftar FAQ and the clubs’ own announcements, checked 29 September 2026.

The three clubs and their grounds

Fenerbahçe is the easiest ground for a visitor to reach: take the ferry to Kadıköy and walk with the crowd. Beşiktaş is central too. RAMS Park is out on the metro line and takes longer to leave after the whistle.

Step by step: doing it yourself

  1. Get data on your phone. Registration sends an SMS code and match entry runs on the Passo app. Most foreign eSIM stores are blocked in Turkey, so sort this before you fly; our eSIM guide has one that still works here.
  2. Apply for the card at passotaraftar.com.tr. Foreigners can only take the prepaid card. You enter your passport details, choose a club logo and pay the annual e-ticket fee. The digital card is active as soon as the application is complete.
  3. Top up the card from any bank card in the card transactions area. Top-ups are capped at 10,000 TL a month.
  4. Buy the ticket on passo.com.tr or in the Passo app, usually 3 to 5 days before the match. Home members and cardholders get the first windows; the general sale comes after.
  5. Enter with your phone. Log in to the Passo app and use “Enter the Match” to show the QR code at the turnstile. Bring the passport you registered with.

Everyone aged 7 and over needs their own card. You can buy tickets for friends and transfer them, but each friend needs a card of their own first.

Which club logo to pick

This is the step most visitors get wrong. Your card carries one club’s logo, and it decides where you can sit:

  • A home-club card can buy in the home stands. Clubs sell to their own logo cards first and open the general sale to other logos later.
  • An away-club card can only buy in the away section, and the local security board can ban away-logo cards from a match altogether.

So if you are going to one game, take the home club’s card. If you want to see Galatasaray on Saturday and Fenerbahçe on Sunday, you will probably need two cards and two e-ticket fees.

Derbies and European nights

Galatasaray v Fenerbahçe, Fenerbahçe v Beşiktaş and Beşiktaş v Galatasaray are the matches everyone wants and very few get. Seats go to members and priority cardholders, and the away end is often closed or restricted to away-logo cards by security decision. The same is true, to a lesser degree, for Champions League and Europa League nights.

Resale sites will show you derby tickets. Remember that every ticket is bound to a named card: a seller has to transfer it to your Passo Taraftar card, and if they cannot or will not, you have bought nothing. A host who holds the tickets through the proper channels is the realistic route for these games.

When a guided match night is easier

If you have one evening, no Turkish phone number or no patience for the card, a local host sorts the card registration and the ticket, and takes you through the pre-match build-up with the home fans.

Why that last check: the host running this listing notes on his own site that, because his fan card carries a Fenerbahçe logo, his Galatasaray nights include the build-up, the card and the ticket, with help up to the stadium gates.

Match day tips

  • Arrive early. Security searches are thorough; aim for the gates an hour before kick-off.
  • Leave power banks, coins and lighters behind. Visitors report them being taken at the gate.
  • Wear neutral colours if you are not sure which end you are in. Never wear a rival club’s shirt near the ground.
  • Charge your phone. Your ticket is the QR code in the app.
  • Plan the way back. Ferries from Kadıköy and the metro from Seyrantepe are packed for an hour after the whistle.

More things to do in the city are on our events page. Rechecked monthly; if a Passo rule here differs from what the Passo Taraftar site says on the day, theirs wins.
