Istanbul Photoshoot 2026: Prices, Packages and Which One to Book

Official rules Updated · Last checked · reviewed by Nomad Istanbul editorial team

Compare four bookable Istanbul photoshoots: price per group, edited photos, delivery time and reviews, plus the right pick for couples, families and a proposal.

Short version: for most travellers, book the Old Town shoot by Smiler. One flat price covers the whole group, and Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque are your background. If you want a dress and a rooftop view, book the Touchstone rooftop shoot: it has the most reviews (114) and no extra fees. Picster’s Old Town shoot is cheaper and the only one with a proposal option, but it has 19 reviews, so we do not link it.

The two Book links are affiliate links; you pay the same price. The “from” prices are the cheapest option on each listing and move with the date and package. We read these prices on GetYourGuide on 24 October 2026; Picster’s own site only says “coming soon” for Istanbul, so GetYourGuide is where we found it bookable.

Which one fits you

Couples. Smiler for the Old Town, or Touchstone if you want a dress and a rooftop. For two people Touchstone costs about $176 at the “from” price; Smiler is $198 for the pair or a group of up to 8.

Families. Smiler, because the price is per group and the shoot is a walk. Touchstone is per person and its listing says it is not suitable for children under 8. Picster is also per group and takes up to 15 to 20 people (from $66), which suits a big family, but it has few reviews.

A proposal. Of the four, only Picster’s listing offers it, and we do not link it because it has 19 reviews. Search for it on GetYourGuide, read the latest reviews, and plan the exact spot and time with the photographer first. They shoot from a distance, then continue as a normal couple shoot.

A flying dress. The Istvisual listing has 9 reviews and the entrance and dress cost extra, so we do not link it. A better-reviewed one is the Rooftop Flying Dress Photoshoot: $129 per person, 4.8 from 36 reviews, 45 minutes, all original photos plus 10 edited and a reel. Its listing says the entrance fee and dress rental, 55 euros, are paid in cash on the day.

Before you book

  • The Old Town shoots take pictures in front of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Going inside is a separate ticket: see Hagia Sophia tickets.
  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before is listed on all four.
  • Leave a working WhatsApp number in your booking so the photographer can find you. Picster’s meeting point is the German Fountain in Sultanahmet Square.
  • Rooftop shoots happen outdoors. The Touchstone listing says severe weather can reschedule the shoot.

After the shoot

For the rest of the day, a short walk from Sultanahmet: Basilica Cistern, or the evening Bosphorus cruise. If you booked the Galata side, see the Galata Tower guide.

Notes

Prices, ratings and inclusions are from each GetYourGuide listing on 24 October 2026. Listings change; we recheck monthly.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an Istanbul photoshoot cost?

It depends on whether you pay per group or per person. The Old Town shoots by Smiler and Picster are priced per group, so a family pays the same as a couple. The rooftop dress shoots are priced per person, and in the table only the Istvisual shoot adds a dress and entrance fee on top (the better-reviewed rooftop below charges 55 euros in cash on the day). The comparison table above shows each price as listed on GetYourGuide on 24 October 2026.

How long until I get my photos?

Both Old Town shoots (Smiler and Picster) deliver an edited online gallery within 48 hours. The flying dress shoot by Istvisual says 2 to 3 days. The Touchstone rooftop shoot delivers all high-resolution photos digitally at the end of the session.

Can I book a proposal photoshoot in Istanbul?

Yes. Of the four listings we compared, only Picster's Old Town listing has a proposal option (we do not link it: 19 reviews). You do a short planning call first, so the photographer knows the exact spot, the time and the signal, and stays out of sight until you propose. Write the plan in your booking message.

Do I have to pay entry or dress fees on top?

Not for the Smiler, Picster and Touchstone shoots as listed. The Touchstone listing says entrance fees and the included dress are in the price. For the Istvisual flying dress shoot the listing says entrance and dress are not included, and the total depends on the number of people and dresses, so ask the photographer before you book.

Is the Old Town photoshoot inside Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque?

No. The listings describe photo stops in front of the buildings, in Sultanahmet Square and the Hippodrome. If you want to see the inside, buy a ticket separately; see our Hagia Sophia ticket guide.
